VILNIUS – The roar of engines and the screech of tires are set to return to the LITEXPO center this spring. Organizers have officially announced that Trackmania will once again take center stage at Comic Con Baltics 2026, scheduled for May 22-24.
Building on a five-year legacy of growing competitive play in the Baltics, this year’s tournament is shaping up to be the most ambitious yet. Thanks to partners the prize pool has reached 5,000 euros, marking the new high in Comic Con Baltics Trackmania competition.
A Powerhouse Partnership: Ubisoft Joins the Race
In a move that signals the growing prestige of the Baltic gaming scene, Ubisoft has officially stepped in to support the tournament. While Trackmania since 2022 has been a staple of the Baltics Gaming Expo for years—evolving from local showcases to a recognized stop on the global circuit—this direct collaboration with the publisher ensures a professional-grade experience for both players and spectators.
“The inclusion of Ubisoft as a partner is a game-changer,” says the event’s gaming coordinator Aleksas “KEM” Legačinskas. “It allows us to elevate the production value and provide a platform that truly reflects the talent of the worldwide Trackmania community.”
Custom Challenges: The 2026 Map Pack
True to the game’s “easy to learn, impossible to master” philosophy, the 2026 tournament will feature a set of specially designed tracks. These tracks are being crafted specifically for the Comic Con Baltics stage, ensuring that even the most seasoned veterans will face fresh challenges.
Expect a mix of 5 different themes showcasing different parts of Lithuanian heritage – natural and cultural alike – ranging from snowy winter landscapes to Lithuanian love for basketball to festivals involving hot-air balloons and, of course, Comic Con Baltics.
Tournament Format & Logistics
The competition is expected to follow the successful hybrid model similar to previous years, featuring:
- Discovery Event on May 3: The event will start with Cup of the Day, featuring one of the tournament’s tracks, with the best player receiving a CCB-themed mystery box. Afterwards, everyone will get a chance to battle for 8 direct-qualification slots to the Group Stage.
- Live Finals: The top players will descend upon Vilnius to compete live in front of thousands of fans in the Baltics Gaming Expo hall. The first day will be open for anyone to try and qualify for the finals.
As Lithuania continues to cement itself as a hub for international esports, the Comic Con Baltics Trackmania tournament stands out as a crown jewel of the festival. Whether you are a casual fan of the “World Tour” or a hardcore racer, the 2026 edition promises high-speed drama like never before.
