TMWT April 2024 recap!

The Trackmania World Tour 2024 started a little over a month ago now. From the first intense competitions to the first places in the world ranking through the next homologated tournaments, it’s time to take stock!

Latest tournament results

This month of April was marked by its first two homologated LAN Party tournaments. The famous Gamers Assembly opened the season on Easter week-end, in Poitiers, France. Administered by the Drakonia and FuturoLan associations, the tournament brought together around 20 players mainly from France with the exception of the Slovakian Marek “tween” Pacher who dominated the tournament and became the first World Tour 2024 leader. Stéphane “Richie” Buono from DNF Esports took 2nd place and Ronan “Sheinimi” Marchand from Raptor Esports Club finished 3rd of the GA 2024.

On April 13, the Trackmania World Tour stopped in Prague, Czech Republic, during the PLAYzone event. Many players from 7 different nationalities took part in the Challenger category tournament. At the end of the competition day, Czech player Filip “eLconn21” Šprungl took the lead over the other favorites. The podium is completed by the Polish player Hubert “mime” Dziedzic from Into The Breach and his Hungarian teammate Peter “pusztitopako” Varga.

This first month of the new Trackmania World Tour season ended with the monthly online tournament organized by Ubisoft Nadeo. More than 140 participants from 35 nationalities took part in the tournament. The best 64 players entered the playoffs stage after a tense Time Attack first stage played on the Spring official map pack. At the end of the five rounds of the single elimination bracket, it is the French player Alexandre “Binkss” Touche who wins first place and 1000 points in the world rankings. Thomas “Pac” Cole finished in second place ahead of Stéphane “Richie” Buono.

Upcoming homologated tournaments

During the next few weeks, the Comic Con Baltics makes its comeback as a Homologated Major Tournament in the Trackmania World Tour 2024. The tournament takes place in two stages, a first online on May 4 and 5 open to all players, followed by a second offline during the Comic Con Baltics event in Vilnius, Lithuania, from May 24 to 26. Players will challenge each other to earn as many points as possible in the world ranking as well as €3,000 in rewards.

Between the two stages of the Comic Con Baltics, players will have the opportunity to play the second Nadeo Monthly Cup. The tournament will be played online on May 19. In addition to points equivalent to its Grand Tournament category, the May Monthly Cup will offer €1,000 divided between the three best players.

Players from the American continent are also entitled to their offline tournament for the Trackmania World Tour thanks to the LAN ETS event. This historic LAN Party in Montreal, in the Quebec region of Canada, will bring together up to 64 players on June 28. In the Grand Tournament category, the competition will offer new points in the world rankings as well as Can$1,500.

World ranking

After a month of competition and three homologated tournaments, 160 players entered the Trackmania World Tour 2024 world ranking.

Player Alexandre “Binkss” Touch took the lead thanks to his victory in the April Monthly Cup. He is closely followed by Stéphane “Richie” Buono who has scored points in both Gamers Assembly and April Monthly Cup tournaments. Thomas “Pac” Cole closes the podium thanks to his second place during the Ubisoft Nadeo competition. After a strong start, Marek “tween” Pacher is now ranked 4th in the world ranking.

There is still a long way to go before the end of the regular season which will decide the 32 players qualified for the Trackmania World Tour Playoffs.

Rulebook update

Since the start of the Regular Season a few minor updates have been made to reinforce the Rulebook. Here is the list:

  • Added Section 3.2.8 a specific rule for invited Participant in Homologated Tournament;
  • Added Section 4.3.4 on tiebreaker rules to apply during Cup Mode matches;
  • Updated Section 4.3.5 on car skins allowed during Homologated Tournament.
